Heart-Shaped Ceramic Slow Feeder Bowl – Deep Groove
Description
This heart-shaped ceramic slow feeder bowl is made from high-fired ceramic, featuring a smooth glazed finish that’s easy to clean and odor-resistant.
The bowl’s natural weight provides excellent stability, preventing sliding or tipping during feeding.
Its deep-ridge design helps slow down eating, reducing the risk of choking and bloating, while the heart shape naturally guides your dog to eat calmly from the center outward.
Real-Use Examples
-
My Border Collie (20 kg) – Large Size
Eats 100 g of large kibble twice daily. This bowl perfectly fits 100 g of food, and when mixed with a bit of meat paste, it fills the space nicely.
The heavy ceramic body prevents movement or tipping, allowing even energetic dogs like Border Collies to eat patiently without lifting or pushing the bowl. -
My Dachshund (~5 lbs / 2.5 kg) – Small Size
Perfect for small floppy-eared breeds. I pour about 30 g of fine kibble into the center groove, leaving the outer ring empty or for vegetables/meat paste.
This setup keeps the ears from touching wet food, preventing skin irritation and tangles.
If more capacity is needed, food can also be placed in the outer groove — the slow-feeding effect remains the same.
The weight and anti-slip nature of the ceramic make it ideal for both small and medium dogs — strong enough to stay steady, yet elegant on any floor.
For Cats
This bowl is not ideal for cats, as the grooves are quite deep.
Short-nosed cats may experience whisker fatigue or nose contact discomfort while eating.
For feline slow feeding, we recommend our flower-shaped shallow ceramic bowl, which better suits cat feeding postures.
